Do you make all of these pots yourself?

I do! Studio Katagami is just me, myself, and I.

I have a small home studio where I throw or slab build all of the clay pieces. I use my own, original drawings and sketches to create stencils that I use to make the patterns on the majority of my pots for sale. Occasionally, a glaze design or pattern is 100% handpainted without the help of a stencil.

 

Can I put my coffee mug in the dishwasher and microwave?

For the most part, yes!

All mugs are dishwasher safe but as with all extra special things, handwashing is recommended to extend the life of your new favorite mug.

By default, mugs are microwave safe however, any mugs or cups with GOLD luster glaze cannot go in the microwave! Listings for these items will say LOUD + CLEAR, that they are not microwave safe.

 

Do you take custom orders?

Throughout the year, as my production timeline allows, I will take custom orders. Custom orders are only available for designs I currently or previously have made and sold.

So if, you just absolutely have to have a strawberry mug or Flora + Fauna plant pot, then I can do that! But if you want a garden bench with custom portrait of your pet turtle, that's a no-can-do.

 

Where is Studio Katagami located?

I live in sunny Tucson, Arizona. It is entirely too hot for me here, and I am definitely not a Desert Rat but the creative community and it's supporters are the absolute best!

But still, apologies in advance if you ever meet me and I complain about the heat.
